CellAct- AF(Alcaligenes faecalis: AF)
can perform nitrification and denitrification simultaneously and has excellent nitrifying and denitrifying capacity.
Therefore, it can be used for purification of sewage, waste water, and rivers and lakes and for removal of odors caused by ammonia gas.


Characteristics of  Alcaligenes faecalis: AF

  • Appearance
  • • Rod-shaped coccobacillary or bacillary bacteria with motility

  • Role
  • • Has remarkable removal capacity of ammonia, the biggest cause of odors in cattle sheds 
  • • Has more rapid growth rate than that of nitrifying microbes, leading to improved efficiency in treatment 
  • • Has considerable pH resistance, highly effective in removal 
  • • Removes nitrogen, leading cause of eutrophication, and therefore used for water purification 
  • • Shows high efficiency in removal of ammonia, a compound causing odors in pig and poultry farms 
  • • Contributes to improving efficiency in removal of nitrogen at sewage treatment plants in winter
